  • Fudgy Cocoa Brownies

    Try:

    ½ cup chopped nuts

    ½ cup mini chocolate or peanut butter chips

    1 teaspoon mint extract in place of vanilla

    ½ cup dried cranberries or cherries

    ½ cup shredded coconut

    mini marshmallows across the top, once baking is complete add them across the top and low broil until toasted

  • Your Favorite Cookies

    The mix on its own is a basic Sugar Cookie, so your imagination is limitless with these! Please note, they can taste a little bitter and that’s the flavor of millet. Have fun with them and try all sorts of combinations.

    Sugar Cookies: add 1 tsp vanilla

    Nut Butter: 1 tsp vanilla, ¾ cup nut butter of your choice

    Chocolate Chip: 1 tsp vanilla, 1 cup chocolate chips

    Lemon: 2 tsp lemon extract, ½ - 1 tsp lemon zest

    Cranberry Orange: 2 tsp orange extract, ½ cup dried cranberries

    Maple Pecan: 2 tsp maple extract, 1 cup chopped pecans

    Cocoa: 1 tsp vanilla, ¼ cup cocoa powder

    Molasses: 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp ginger, ½ tsp ground cloves, ¼ cup molasses

    Snickerdoodles: 1 tsp vanilla, roll balls of cookie dough in a mixture of 2 tsp cinnamon and 3 Tbsp sugar

  • Golden Cornbread

    We’ve had a number of suggestions with this one, and the repeated one is to use buttermilk instead of regular milk. We can’t vouch for this just yet, so let us know what you think!

    Sub buttermilk for milk

    When baking in cast iron, you can sub butter in the pan with bacon drippings

    Jalapeno Cheddar: 2 Tbsp chopped jalapeno, ¾ cup shredded cheese

    Apple Sage: ½ cup grated, peeled green apple, 2 Tbsp fresh chopped sage

    Maple Bacon: ½ cup maple syrup, 1 cup chopped cooked bacon

    Cheesy Garlic: ¾ cup sharp cheddar cheese, ½ teaspoon thyme leaves, and 3 cloves minced garlic

    Try:

    ½ cup chocolate chips

    Lemon Poppyseed: 2 tsp of lemon extract in place of vanilla, 2 Tbsp poppy seeds

    Cranberry Orange: 2 tsp orange extract, ½ cup dried cranberries

    Maple Pecan: 2 tsp maple extract, 1 cup chopped pecans

    Blueberry: ½ cup fresh or frozen blueberries

    Apple Cinnamon: 2 tsp cinnamon, ½ cup shredded or finely peeled and diced apple
